The warehouse is a storage and transit center in the logistics industry. In the southern region, the rainy season in June and July is the most troublesome time for warehouse managers, especially for logistics warehouses that store food, medicinal herbs, appliances, and specialty products. The humid air easily damages product quality, resulting in significant losses. In recent years, more and more warehouses have installed industrial fans before the rainy season to solve problems such as humidity and toxicity.
With the rapid development of the modern logistics industry, the storage requirements for goods are getting higher and higher. On one hand, larger spaces are needed to store goods, and on the other hand, various storage environment requirements for different types of goods must be met. During the rainy season, the excessive humidity in the air persists, which easily damages the goods in the warehouse. Food, medicinal herbs, and feed products are prone to spoilage and decay, while metal products are susceptible to rust and corrosion, leading to substantial economic losses. In the past, warehouses used to purchase a large number of dehumidifiers to improve the humid environment. However, dehumidifiers often have limited effectiveness and cannot meet the needs of large-scale facilities. Similarly, drying machines are commonly used, but they also have the drawback of limited coverage. With the advent of industrial fans, warehouse managers have found the best solution to solve the problem of warehouse humidity.
The use of industrial fans can be traced back to 1999 in the United States when they were initially used to solve the epidemic problem among cows on farms. Later, their usage gradually expanded to various large buildings. When the super-sized fan with a diameter of 7.3 meters rotates, the airflow formed by the fan blades moves from top to bottom, creating a conical flow toward the ground. It then flows horizontally along the ground and, upon encountering side obstructions or horizontal airflow from adjacent fans, it pushes upward towards the roof. This creates an all-around, multi-angle, and no-dead-angle circulation of air, allowing for rapid exchange with outdoor fresh air through doors, windows, or roof fans. It disperses indoor moisture, effectively dehumidifying and preventing mold. Compared to other dehumidifying devices, one industrial fan can cover an area of 1500 square meters and consumes only 1.5 kW/h. In addition to dehumidification and mold prevention, it can also provide ventilation and cooling in summer and balance indoor temperatures in winter. It is essential to air conditioning equipment for logistics warehouses.
During the rainy season, using industrial fans for effective dehumidification in warehouses can prevent damage to goods, help logistics companies reduce the rate of damaged goods, and minimize economic losses. It is an indispensable supporting equipment for warehousing enterprises.
