The earliest industrial large ceiling fans used reduction motors, and during the operation of the fan, the vibration of the blades generated a lot of noise. If used in a relatively quiet environment, it would cause users to feel irritable and bothered by the noise, resulting in dissatisfaction with the product quality and a negative impact on the manufacturer's reputation and public image. Therefore, installing rubber pads is essential to reduce the noise generated by large ceiling fans. By installing rubber shock absorber pads between the installation holes of the wheel hub and the shaped inserts, the non-rigid connection between the blade handle and the chassis wheel hub can be achieved, which can not only absorb most of the vibration from the blades but also improve the working conditions of the reduction motor shaft, extend the motor's service life, and make operation quieter.
Rubber pads have the characteristics of high elasticity, large elastic deformation, and small elastic modulus. The impact stiffness of rubber pads is greater than the dynamic stiffness, and the dynamic stiffness is greater than the static stiffness, which is beneficial to reducing impact deformation and dynamic deformation. Rubber shock absorber pads are made of incompressible materials, and their shape can be freely chosen. The hardness can be adjusted by formula design, which can meet the requirements of stiffness and strength in different directions.
Rubber pads can be divided into two types: molded and cut from a process perspective. Compared with cut rubber pad blocks, molded rubber pad blocks have higher overall precision and better appearance, but may be more expensive and require customization. The product cut from rubber is delivered faster. Although there may be slight deviations (2mm), it basically does not affect normal use, and the size can be arbitrarily cut.
Different choices of rubber pads also affect the production cost of industrial large ceiling fans. The service life of high-quality rubber pads can reach more than 5 years. The ease of installation of rubber shock absorber pads is equally important. When the shock-absorbing rubber sleeve ages, it only needs to be replaced with a new isolation pad without replacing other parts. Replacement is easy and reduces later maintenance costs. Moreover, when the rubber pads age, the shaped inserts can still prevent the up and down swing of the blades, which does not affect the overall safety of the large ceiling fan.
